The Caravan Hitchhiking Project is a multimedia inspiration travel story that makes you look at the world with different eyes.

Tjerk and his travel companion, writer/journalist Peter Bijl transformed their European travel with caravan, but without a car into a bilingual book (Dutch and English) and DVD, with stories, songs and scenes from on the road.

This book contains 156 pages of picture material, and inspiring stories and encounters from on the road, written by both Tjerk Ridder as Peter Bijl. The first reactions and reviews on the book have been glowing.

We are working on ways to get the book and dvd (which are both bi-lingual) available internationally, and to do presentations in several European countries.

DREAMS & BORDERS
Just like the journey of 2010, the book contains of two parts: ‘Dreams’ deals about Tjerk’s personal inspiration of beginning this project and the dreams of the people he met on the road. This part is accompanied by the songs out of the theatre show Tjerk has made out of his journey.

‘Borders’ deals about personal borders, pushing limits and European dreams. This part, playing in the Balkans, is accompanied by 45 minutes of road movie material Peter Bijl shot along the way.
